A lot of people prefer to watch videos without the audio on and read the captions instead. Using closed captioning software can help you reach a wider audience with your video content simply. However, when editing your captions, you may insert the segments of text into a translation software, like Google Translate, and generate translated captions that way.Closed captioning makes video content more accessible to those who are deaf, hard of hearing, or speak another language. It can also make your videos more appealing to watch. ThankView currently does not have the functionality of translating your closed captions into other languages directly. The format is webVTT, but if you'd like a different format, please reach out to your Customer Success Representative.

Click the Edit icon > CC icon > Download Captions.

If you'd like to adjust the timing of the captions, download the captions file from ThankView, edit the timestamps in a text editor, and re-upload the edited caption file. When editing captions, you can only edit the text.

Click the Edit icon > CC icon > Edit Closed Captions.

Go to the Video Library and locate your video.

Use the Edit Captions pop-up to edit the captions in small segments.

Click the CC icon at the bottom of the video, then select Edit Closed Captions.

Select which recipient's video you would like to edit, or check Select All.

Go to your campaign > Videos > Recordings.

You can edit captions via the Video Library or the Videos section within a campaign.

Click the Captions icon at the bottom of the video (in your Video Library or the Videos section of your campaign) to begin.

You'll be notified once the closed captioning is complete.

Click Add $50 to Balance and add your credit card information.

Click Get Captions, then select Paid Human Captioning.

Click the CC icon at the bottom of your video preview (in the edit view of your Video Library or the Videos section of a campaign).

Please allow up to 24 hours for these captions to process. This type of captioning costs $1.25 for the first minute of video and is then prorated by seconds after that, but the same captioned video can be sent to as many recipients as you’d like.

Human captions are a great option if you want the highest degree of accuracy and less edits later.

You can do this while viewing a video preview in either Campaigns or in your Video Library - press the CC icon in the toolbar, select Get Captions, and choose the Free Automated Captioning Option.
